Ravenna Homes is looking for exceptional Construction Science students to join our paid Construction Internship program.  Our internship program utilizes multiple semesters (Spring/Summer or Summer/Fall) in order to provide the best practical hands-on experience that will help prepare students for a successful career in the residential construction industry and an opportunity to apply their knowledge learned in the classroom.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES – At the completion of your internship you should be able to:

• Understand and explain the phases of building a home from start to completion
• Evaluate and identify potential issues that can arise from the pouring of foundations
• Inspect a completed home and create thorough punch lists for home buyers prior to closing
• Inspect the frame of a home and create thorough frame punch lists
• Proficiently navigate our purchasing and scheduling software
• Comprehend and interpret blueprints and specifications on the job site
• Schedule contractors and make adjustments to the schedule
• Understand and interpret Developers’ Builder Guidelines for a community

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS [required]

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or related field
• Must have a minimum overall cumulative 2.800 GPA
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Hold a current valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation
• Ability to interact professionally with subcontractors, vendors, home buyers, employees and management
• Eagerness to learn and understand the Company’s operations
